Hard Rock Land Company

Hard Rock Land Company has taken the lead in establishing quality, affordable housing for Glenville and Gilmer County.  With the advent of the federal prison being located in Gilmer County, new housing was listed as the most important requirement by the Federal Bureau of Prisons staff.

Hard Rock Land Company, working with the West Virginia Housing Development Fund, has taken the initiative by starting housing construction, not only for future prison officials, but for Gilmer Countians as well.

West Virginia Housing Development Fund offers very attractive and competitive mortgage rates under a variety of loan programs.

Keeping it Local

Hard Rock Land Company, in our desire to "keep it local", used Reed's Construction of Glenville as the builder of the homes located in Sun Valley Estates.

Materials used in construction were purchased at Hardman's Home Center of Glenville.  Flying "W" Plastics and Appcon Lumber, both of Glenville, also provided materials for the housing development.

Appliances were purchased at Glenville Western Auto.

Cabinetry and Custom kitchens were provided by Warren Matheny of Sand Fork.

Landscaping, furnishings, and decorating were provided by Terry Ellyson, of Glenville.

Kevin Hern Backhoe Service of Glenville and Carl Carr Contracting of Sand Fork were used for earth moving and installing sewer and water lines.
